THE mother of Isabelle Thomas, a documentary filmmaker, and wife of movie producer Bradley Thomas, has broken her silence on the “nightmare” that is her daughter’s death.
Isabelle Thomas fell to her death on Monday at a Los Angeles hotel, according to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner – the manner of death was listed as a suicide.
She had been married to the Killers of the Flower Moon producer since 2018.
“This is the worst possible nightmare,” Thomas’ mother, Penelope Lawrence, exclusively told The U.S. Sun.
Lawrence lives in the UK and said she is planning on traveling to Los Angeles as soon as possible.
“I’ll shortly be going out to LA,” she said. “My daughter is married to an American who is in the spotlight and he is still trying to deal with it.
“It is a very sad event.”
The Los Angeles Police Department revealed that Thomas jumped from the roof of the hotel around 1:20 in the afternoon.
“Isabelle was the light of our lives,” her loved ones said in a statement. “She was courageous and took all life’s opportunities without fear, showering love and kindness on her friends, family, and children along the way.”
No suicide note was left behind, reported TMZ.
Thomas was born in Bath, England, in 1984 and graduated from Oxford with a degree in biological sciences.
She was raised in the Cotswolds alongside her older brother Christopher Lawrence.
She moved to Los Angeles to pursue her passion for filmmaking.
“Her projects were as diverse as her passions, reflecting a curiosity about people and our culture that inspired everyone lucky enough to spend time with her,” read the statement.
“We remember her as a soul mate, beautiful daughter, sister, devoted mother and wife.”
‘SO AWFUL’
Thomas’ distraught father told The U.S. Sun he has “absolutely no idea why this happened or what was troubling her. It is so awful.”
“I was last in contact with her a couple of weeks ago,” said Sir Henry Lawrence, 7th Baronet of Lucknow.
Thomas shared twin daughters with her husband, Poppy and Grace, and was a stepmother to Bradley’s older children, Lucy and Charlie.
The couple was recently spotted on the awards trail to promote Marin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
The drama epic received 10 Oscar nominations last week.

Thomas joined her husband at the yearly BAFTA Tea Party in Beverly Hills earlier this month.
“Our family has been overwhelmed by her sudden death this week and we are infinitely grateful to her many friends for their outpouring of love,” her family said in a statement.
You’re not alone
SUICIDE is the 10th leading cause of death in the US, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Leading Causes of Death Report from 2018.
There were “more than two and half times as many suicides” in the US than there were homicides, according to the report.
For people ages 10 and 34, suicide was the “second leading cause of death” and the fourth for individuals ages 35 to 54.
Suicide is a vital health concern in the U.S. It affects all genders, races and ages.
This is why The-Sun.com launched the You’re Not Alone campaign.
