The Repulse Bay restaurant is offering a “Mother’s Tribute Afternoon Tea” (HK$788 for two) from May 8-12. Savouries include salmon with keta caviar, and a foie gras sphere and egg mimosa with caviar.

Dessert choices include plain chocolate almond tart with white chocolate ganache, matcha and mascarpone cheesecake and its famous home-made scones with clotted cream and jam.

Brazilian Japanese restaurant Uma Nota has a Mother’s Day menu courtesy of Brazilian sous chef Caroline Francelino de Souza, who has taken inspiration from her childhood.

“Although my mother is of Italian descent, I wanted to infuse elements of Brazilian heritage into the menu,” she says. Dishes include kama kani sushi, “inspired by my mother’s delicious kani [crab] salad” and couscous, a nod to her Brazilian grandmother.

The Farmhouse in the Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour is offering afternoon tea inspired by Farmacy Beauty’s bee skincare line. Highlights include Brie croissant with truffle spread and fresh figs, Parma ham crostini with fig chutney and whipped burrata, fig and honey scones and made-to-order honey waffles with camomile whipped cream.

The art of vegan cheesemaking is explored at a Mother’s Day Vegan Cheeze Workshop hosted by SpiceBox Organics at its Mid-Levels branch on May 11 from 3pm-5pm.
