The story was about a simple arranged marriage. After eight years, we saw Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan taking over as Naira and Kartik. They were loved by fans and even today, people miss them. Soon, Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod started off as Abhimanyu and Akshara. The jodi of AbhiRa has a massive fan following. The end of this generation left fans disappointed.

Many thought that there was no proper end given to Abhimanyu and Akshara. The actors and the characters were love but fans felt the makers of the show were unfair towards the story of Abhimanyu and Akshara. The story looked incomplete and ended in just two years.
Many of Abhimanyu and Akshara fans still complain about the incomplete and not so happening story. The new story of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has started and people are loving Abhira and Armaan. But they still keep complaining about why the story of Akshara and Abhimanyu did not get a proper end.
YRKKH writer talks about the characters of Akshara and Abhimanyu
Now, the writer of the show, Utkarsh Naithani has opened up about the characters of Abhimanyu and Akshara. He spoke about why he could not get out the story that was in his mind. He said he did not know that he would be successful in taking the story through. For him, Akshara always had a bigger arc than Abhimanyu.
He also expressed disappointment over not getting to reach the part where Akshara’s character blossoms. He also went on to reveal how the story would have shaped up further if he had got the chance to move ahead.
He wrote, “So today… Here’s a little glimpse into my world dear fans: Imagine a story arc, where after marriage, Abhi instead of getting into some new trouble, triumphs in professional life… and his life reaches the next level… but now, he’s uncertain. You see, he’s always been a warrior… he knows only defending (his mother, and Akshara) and aggression (against his father), but he doesn’t know how to live in a world where there are no villains in front of him to fight. And THIS is where Akshara comes to his rescue. Coz be it music, family, or love, she understood one thing that Abhi hadn’t… good and bad times pass, but relationships can be (and should be) forever. In my vision, it was gonna be this little world that Akshara creates… brick by brick. Some tender moments and sometimes even tough love 🙂 A bubble that the outside world wants to burst… Dr. Abhimanyu gets to learn more about life from her.
Yes, The life they have lived comes to haunt them. But as husband and wife.. and as Lovers, they survive. And. they. thrive.”
