Initially, Kareena Kapoor Khan was supposed to make her South Indian film debut as Yash’s sister, but she later exited the project and Nayanthara took her place. Sai Pallavi was also considered for the film but was replaced by Shruti Haasan, who will now play Yash’s love interest.
