A WOMAN has died after being mauled by a dog at a Scots flat.
Mercy crews raced to a flat on Foresterhill Road in Aberdeen at around 11.15pm on Saturday after reports of a woman being seriously injured in a dog attack.
The 41-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police inquiries remain ongoing.
It is not yet know what breed the dog was, but it has since been put down.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.15pm on Saturday, 7 December 2024, police received a report that a woman had been seriously injured by a dog within a flat on Foresterhill Road, Aberdeen.

“Emergency services attended but the 41-year-old woman died at the scene.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
“The dog has since been euthanised.”
