The 65-year-old actor, who has acted in some of the most well-known films, including Sadak, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., and K.G.F Chapter 2, is busy working on several projects and shows no signs of slowing down. Talking about his personal life, Sanjay Dutt married Richa Sharma, a budding actor, in 1987 and welcomed their daughter Trishala in 1989. However, his wife succumbed to a brain tumour in 1996. Following her mother’s death, Trishala moved to the United States with her maternal grandparents, and Sanjay married Maanayata Dutt, his third wife.

The actor was questioned – ‘Apparently, your daughter is keen to be an actress in Bollywood’ during a 2012 interview with Filmfare. Clarifying his intentions to introduce his daughter Trishala to the Bollywood industry, he said, “Trishala is a forensic scientist. She has such a good job. Why would I want her to come here and shake her ass?” The actor’s statement trended on Reddit for a prolonged period.
Sanjay Dutt’s response from the 2012 interview became viral, internet users couldn’t help but slam him. The Munna Bhai MBBS actor was under fire from some for disparaging Bollywood stars, while others have accused him of sexualizing women.

The Khalnayak star went on, “Growing up, it was all about my mom’s home-cooked rogan josh and shami kebab. Those flavours are still my comfort food.”
