Viewers of Big Brother Mzansi reality TV show are saddened by Yolanda’s disqualification from the show.
‘BIG BROTHER MZANSI’ STAR DISQUALIFIED
The reality TV star, Yolanda was the second housemate after Bravo B to get booted out of Big Brother Mzansi on Friday, 15 March.
Entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela confirmed her exit on X following Multichoice’s final decision to eliminate her.
“Multichoice has decided to disqualify Yolanda Mukondeleli Monyai following her remarks about molesting a fellow housemate,” reported Mphela.
The channel revealed in a statement that they don’t condone any acts that threaten the safety of the contestants on the show
“MultiChoice has investigated the matter regarding remarks made by a housemate on Big Brother Mzansi which is currently airing on DStv channel 198.”
“We do not condone any acts that threaten the safety of the housemates on the show, and we take Gender Based Violence seriously.”
“Therefore, the housemate who made the threatening remarks (Yolanda) has been disqualified from the game,” concludes the statement.
Monyai’s exit comes after disgraced contestant Lindokuhle Nsele aka Bravo B elimination in the shows opening week.
Nsele recently revealed to Sowetan that he regrets the inappropriate comments and said he cried when he got disqualified.
“I also cried on my way back home worried about what my father was going to say. He told me he knew me as his son and that what happened was a mistake I needed to learn from.”
Recent housemates who got evicted include, Lerato who was evicted on Monday, 11 March, while Jareed and Els left on Sunday, 10 March.
Other evicted contestants include, Chueenza, Meelay, Mich, Taki, Pale, Fahima, Sammy_M, Mali, Neo and Bravo B’s disqualification.
WHO IS YOLANDA?
Eulenda Monyai aka Yolanda is a model and sales consultant, who’s become a popular housemate in Big Brother Mzansi TV show.
The 32-year-old became an instant hit and fan-favourite for her fantastic storytelling, bubbly personality and endless singing.
Her fans, who call themselves, YoliFires have compared her to former Big Brother Titans winner, Khosi.
Viewers of the reality TV show predict she will be top three alongside other fan-favourites, Mpumi and Liema.
The model revealed in her entrance interview with Mzansi Magic that she’s loyal, honest and catches feelings very fast in relationships.
