The Infinix GT 20 Pro (review) is the brand’s latest mid-range smartphone available for purchase at a starting price of Rs 24,999, and it makes some big claims when it comes to its performance and gaming capabilities. To back it up, the smartphone features a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset along with a VC liquid cooling system to keep temperatures down while gaming. Today, we’ll be comparing the smartphone with another popular mid-range device, the OnePlus Nord CE4 (review), which also carries a starting price of Rs 24,999, with an objective to find out which smartphone offers a superior performance output. Geekbench
The Geekbench test helps evaluate the CPU performance of a smartphone. The Infinix GT 20 Pro registered 1,020 in the Geekbench single-core test and 3,384 in the multi-core test. In comparison, the OnePlus Nord CE4 logged 1,138 in the single-core test and 2,950 in the multi-core test.
From these results, the Infinix GT 20 Pro is more likely to offer superior performance in multi-core-reliant tasks like video/photo editing, gaming, data transfers and more, while the OnePlus Nord CE4 is more likely to offer better performance in single-core based tasks such as web browsing, word processors, video streaming and more.

AnTuTu
The AnTuTu benchmark evaluates multiple facets of a smartphone’s performance capabilities, including its CPU, GPU, memory (RAM + storage), and UX (user experience), and then assigns a comprehensive score to the device. The Infinix GT 20 Pro showcased an aggregate score of 9,36,985 on the benchmark test, while the OnePlus Nord CE4 registered an aggregate score of 8,19,347.
The OnePlus Nord CE4 offers better GPU and CPU performance than the Infinix GT 20 Pro, but the latter scores significantly better in memory performance and user experience. Based on the results, we can expect the Infinix GT 20 Pro to deliver a more holistic performance output than the OnePlus Nord CE4.

Throttling test
We used the Burnout Benchmark App to assess the performance output of both smartphones under throttling. The Infinix GT 20 Pro clocked a performance output of 68.4 percent compared to the 73.1 percent performance output of the OnePlus Nord CE4. This suggests that the OnePlus Nord CE4 is likely to deliver better performance under stress.

Gaming test
We played some demanding games, including BGMI, COD: Mobile, and Real Racing 3, to gauge the real-world performance capabilities of both smartphones. The Infinix GT 20 Pro supports COD: Mobile at Very High settings and BGMI at Ultra HDR resolution, while the OnePlus Nord CE4 supports BGMI at the same resolution but only supports COD: Mobile up to High graphics preset.
The Infinix GT 20 Pro manages to play COD: Mobile, Real Racing 3, and BGMI at an average of 55FPS, 56FPS and 36FPS, respectively. The OnePlus Nord CE4 manages to play the same games at an average of 53FPS, 56FPS and 34FPS, respectively.
When it comes to thermal management, the Infinix GT 20 Pro showcases impressive cooling capabilities, with just an aggregate temperature rise of 11 degrees Celsius across three games, while the OnePlus Nord CE4 showcased an aggregate temperature rise of 23 degrees Celsius. The Infinix GT 20 Pro wins the gaming round thanks to its superior gaming prowess and better thermal management.

Verdict
In our performance comparison test, the Infinix GT 20 Pro beats the OnePlus Nord CE4. It registers a higher AnTuTu benchmark score, offers better gaming performance, and has an exceptionally well-managed cooling system that keeps the temperatures under control while gaming. If you’re looking to buy a smartphone under Rs 25,000 and want a device that does not compromise on performance, the Infinix GT 20 Pro is a great choice.
Despite falling short in some areas, the OnePlus Nord CE4 is still a compelling smartphone for many users. It offers a good mix of performance, exceptional battery life, a super-quick charging speed, and a decent camera system. In our gaming test, it was only slightly behind the Infinix GT 20 Pro, which is an excellent result for a device that isn’t specifically gaming-focused.
