Realme Narzo N65 5G vs Lava Yuva 5G: Design

The Realme Narzo N65 5G shares a stark similarity with the Realme C65 5G (review). The device appears to have a textured plastic back panel with feather-like strokes.

It has a camera configuration with an LED flash at the rear placed in the top middle and housed in a circular module. Like the Realme Narzo N65 5G, the Lava Yuva 5 G’s rear camera module can make the device wobble while lying on a flat surface.

Both displays should offer a pleasing and smooth viewing experience. However, it might not be easier to view the content directly under sunlight on either device.

Realme Narzo N65 5G vs Lava Yuva 5G: Performance

The Realme Narzo N65 5G packs a more powerful SoC at the helm than the Lava Yuva 5G. The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 Ultra is more dominant than the Unisoc T750.

However, neither of the devices will offer you flagship-grade performance, but both devices will handle basic tasks well, such as scrolling social media, web browsing, and video streaming. You expect slightly better performance from the Realme Narzo N65 5G than the Lava Yuva 5G.

While both devices offer up to 128GB storage, the Realme Narzo N65 5G offers more RAM and storage options than the Lava Yuva 5G. The internal storage is further expandable on both devices via a microSD card.

Realme Narzo N65 5G vs Lava Yuva 5G: Cameras

Both devices have a 50MP primary camera. While the Realme Narzo N65 focuses solely on its 50MP primary camera without additional secondary lenses, the Lava Yuva 5G also comes with a 2MP macro camera. You can expect either of the devices to take satisfying pictures via the primary camera that are worth posting on social media.

Realme Narzo N65 5G Camera

However, both the devices have a relatively slower charging speed compared to other modern smartphones, meaning it will take a bit longer to reach a full charge from a low battery level.

Realme Narzo N65 5G vs Lava Yuva 5G: Software

The Lava Yuva 5G comes with Android 13 out of the box and will receive an upgrade to Android 14, along with two years of security patches. While Android 13 is somewhat outdated, it would have been preferable if the phone had shipped with Android 14 and offered an upgrade to Android 15.

Realme Narzo N65 UI

In contrast, the Realme Narzo N65 5G runs on Android 14 with the Realme UI 5.0 custom skin. It is assured three years of security and two years of software updates, providing more up-to-date and extended software support than the Lava Yuva 5G.

It’s also worth mentioning that Lava offers a stock Android experience with its device, while the Realme Narzo N65 5G will have a custom Realme UI skin on top with some pre-installed apps out of the box. However, you can remove the unwanted apps from the device.

Verdict

Both phones are a great pick if you’re a casual user and want a phone for everyday use without putting a hole in your pocket. However, after comparing the hardware specifications of both devices side by side, the Realme Narzo N65 5G offers more value than the Lava Yuva 5G.
