OPPO F27 Pro+ vs Samsung Galaxy F55: design
The OPPO F27 Pro+ boasts an elegant design with a round camera dial reminiscent of the Find N series smartphones. Its rear panel features a vegan leather back, a Cosmos Ring around the camera sensors, and a middle leather layer in a slightly lighter shade than the rest of the panel. The smartphone is quite sleek at 7.99mm and weighs about 177g.
The curved OLED panel boasts a screen-to-body ratio of 93 percent, with thin bezels surrounding it. It features a punch-hole cutout for the front camera, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the display. As India’s first IP69-rated smartphone, it claims to be dustproof and resistant to continuous water immersion, water sprays, and high temperatures. In addition to that, it holds the Swiss SGS 5-star certification for enhanced durability. The smartphone is available in Dusk Pink and Midnight Navy.
The Samsung Galaxy F55 comes in two colour options: Black and Apricot, with both variants in a textured vegan leather back in a stitch pattern. The smartphone continues to follow the brand’s classic design, with a triple rear camera setup in a vertical line, along with the flash unit. The smartphone is slightly heavier at 180g. There’s a similar punchhole cutout for the front camera, but unlike the F27 Pro+, the Galaxy F55 features a flat display panel with slightly thick bezels surrounding it.
OPPO F27 Pro+ vs Samsung Galaxy F55: display
The OPPO F27 Pro+ curved OLED display and Samsung Galaxy F55’s Super AMOLED+ display both have the same resolution on paper, but Samsung’s display is likely to offer a superior viewing experience due to its panel quality. When it comes to brightness levels, there’s not much difference between both devices at 950nits (F27 Pro+) and 1000nits (F55) of peak brightness, respectively.
For gaming purposes, the Galaxy F55 is a more suitable device due to its flat display. The OPPO F27 Pro+ could deliver richer colours and better accuracy due to its 100 percent sRGB and DCI-P3 colour gamut support.
OPPO F27 Pro+ vs Samsung Galaxy F55: cameras
When it comes to cameras, there’s quite a bit of difference between the two devices. The OPPO F27 Pro+ for instance, lacks an ultra-wide lens yet offers a higher resolution 64MP primary camera. Samsung offers a substantially better 50MP front camera compared to the 8MP front camera of the OPPO F27 Pro+.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy F55 is likely a better choice since it offers greater versatility thanks to an ultra-wide lens and a more capable front camera. Both smartphones feature an Android-14-based operating system. The Galaxy F55 comes with OneUI 5.0, while the OPPO F27 Pro+ features ColorOS. Samsung’s OneUI offers a comparatively cleaner OS experience, but ultimately, it boils down to a user’s preferences.
