Infinix Note 40X vs POCO M6 Plus: display
Both phones ship with a Full-HD+ LCD panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a smooth and pleasant visual experience. However, the POCO M6 Plus has a slightly bigger display and Corning Gorilla Glass protection for better durability.
While the screen size difference is negligible, the additional protective layer of the POCO M6 Plus will secure the display from scratches and wear and tear. Besides that, you can expect a similar viewing experience from both devices.
Infinix Note 40X vs POCO M6 Plus: performance
The POCO M6 Plus has a slightly more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE SoC at the helm than the Inifinix Note 40X’s MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. While we have yet to review the Infinix Note 40X, we tested the performance of the Realme Narzo N65 which draws power from the same processor. During our testing, the SoC scored 4,20,659 points on AnTuTu, and on Geekbench, it secured 748 points in the single-core test and 1,941 points in the multi-core test.
In comparison, the POCO M6 Plus bagged 4,33,376 points on AnTuTu, with 960 points in the single-core test and 2,205 points in the multi-core test on Geekbench. However, you get more RAM and internal storage options with the Infinix Note 40X, which could be noticeable while multitasking and switching between apps.
Infinix Note 40X vs POCO M6 Plus: cameras
You get a better selfie camera with the POCO M6 Plus than the Infinix Note 40X. The 13MP snapper of the POCO M6 Plus will capture more detailed and sharper images than the Infinix Note 40X’s 8MP shooter.
Both phones feature an identical rear camera setup. You can check out our detailed review of the POCO M6 Plus to learn more about its camera performance, but you will have to wait for our Infinix Note 40X for the same.
Infinix Note 40X vs POCO M6 Plus: battery and charging
While there isn’t a drastic difference in the battery capacity of both phones (5,000mAh for Note 40X vs 5,030mAh for M6 Plus), the POCO M6 Plus supports a faster 33W charging speed and will quickly refuel the device than the Infinix Note 40X’s 18W charging.
In our testing, the POCO M6 Plus ran for nearly nine hours on the PCMark’s battery test and took around an hour to charge the device from 20 percent to 100 percent. The Infinix Note 40X will likely take more time due to its slower charging speed support.
Infinix Note 40X vs POCO M6 Plus: software
Both phones ship with an Android 14-based custom skin out of the box. The Infinix Note 40X runs on XOS, while the POCO M6 Plus boots on HyperOS. While Infinix hasn’t announced how many OS updates and security releases the Note 40X will get, POCO promises two Android OS releases and four years of security patches with the M6 Plus.
Verdict
Based on this comparison, it’s clear that the POCO M6 Plus offers better value under Rs 15,000. With the POCO M6 Plus, you get a superior SoC under the hood, a better selfie shooter, a larger battery with faster charging support, and a display with more protection than the Infinix Note 40X.
However, that doesn’t mean that the Infinix Note 40X is a bad device. It also offers remarkable hardware configuration for the asking price and you won’t be disappointed if you pick the Infinix Note 40X over POCO M6 Plus.
