Mumbai: Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and her long-term boyfriend, Zaheer Iqbal will bind their seven-year romance in the marital knot on the 23rd of June. Sonakshi Sinha Says Her Father Doesn’t Want to Let Her Go
During a 2012 talk with Simi Grewal, Sonakshi confessed that her father, Shatrughan Sinha, practices a rather conventional style of parenting. Sonakshi Sinha said, “I am the apple of his eyes, and he has pampered me so much. He wants to build a house for me where I bring my husband. He doesn’t want to let me go away to my husband’s house. He wants to bring my husband to our house (sic).”
Poonam Sinha, the mother of Sonakshi, agreed with her daughter’s perspective that their father, Shatrughan Sinha, is indeed a traditionalist at heart. Sonakshi added, “He is as conservative as any father can be, and I would say much more, because coming from the background he comes from, he is extra conservative about her (sic).”
Actor-turned-politician, Shatrughan Sinha in the same interaction said, “One day she would go to live with her in-laws, but given a chance and choice, we won’t look for a son-in-law. We will look for another son for us, who is going to stay with us (sic).”

The veteran actor also told her daughter to get permission from him about the man she wants to date. Shatrughan Sinha added, “There is no harm in dating if you are dating the right person. I don’t want her to go through the experiences I have gone through. If and when she dates, I am sure it will be in our knowledge, and I hope she does it with our consent (sic).”
