Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted on Wednesday that his government aims for saturation of welfare schemes among the intended beneficiaries and he is “searching” for those who may still be left out through the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra. The PM has been holding regular interactions with those getting these benefits to get their feedback and ensure that all who are entitled to them are covered.
In a video conference with thousands of beneficiaries, he said, “This campaign to connect with the resolve of a developed India is continuously expanding. It has not been even 50 days since the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra started but till now this Yatra has reached 2.25 lakh villages, a record in itself.”
Since the Yatra was launched on November 15, the PM has had three virtual interactions with the beneficiaries and two physical meetings in Varanasi on consecutive days during his visit to his constituency on December 17-18.
“I am searching for people who have been left out,” he said.
