We turned Farzi’s script on its head: Kay Kay Menon – Exclusive

Kay Kay Menon is one of the finest actors of Indian cinema, having worked in films like Black Friday, Life In A Metro, Gulaal and many more. With the advent of OTT, one is getting to see the resurgence of the actor in a new way with shows like Special Ops, Mumbai Meri Jaan and Farzi.
In an exclusive interview with ETimes, the actor reveals that when he was offered Farzi, it was completely different from what was released on OTT.He plays the main antagonist in the series – Mansoor Dalal, who also has a funny side to his personality. Talking about it he says, “Farzi was completely different as a script … we turned it on its head. My character was a very normal villain and I was bored of playing that. I didn’t want to do that and the audience saw the changed version onscreen.”When asked if he would like to explore his humorous side more, Kay Kay quips, “You will get to see more of it in Shekhar Home. But most of it is unintentional humor and just because it is a detective show, it is not all soggy and intense all the time. The show has six episodes and each one of them belongs to a different genre.”
Srijit Mukherjee’s Shekhar Home is inspired by the works of Sir Athur Conan Doyle – the creator of Sherlock Holmes.
