The upcoming Thar 5-door shares the the same style statement as the 3-door version. However, the SUV will hit the market with noticeable enhancement from both inside and outside. section.
After all the speculations and viral videos during the testing phase, the top car maker Mahindra has finally revealed its much-awaited Thar-5 door in India. The company has released a small teaser, featuring the SUV under the name Thar Roxx.
The launch date has been set for August 15, this year. The company is expected to kickstart the pre-booking on the same date.

Exterior
A lot of confusion about the Thar 5-door has finally cleared now. From the outside, the off-roader shares the same style statement as the ongoing 3-door version. However, the SUV will hit the market with a lot of enhancement from both inside and outside.
It gets a round-shaped LED headlight setup, paired with sleek DRLs. The front section flaunts chrome-finished elements, featuring Mahindra’s nameplate on it. The vehicle has also received updated side mirrors and appealing new design diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Improved Rear Section
Moving to the rear, it gets a C-shaped LED taillight with some noticeable enhancements. The model will also get a spare wheel, which will continue to be mounted at the back.
Thar Roxx is likely to hit the market with a long list of robust features. The list includes an improved multi-functional steering wheel, wireless charging port, decent-sized sunroof, ambient light, and improved infotainment system, which will support all the wireless car connect technology.
Powertrain
The company has not shared significant details about the specs and price range as yet. However, reports say that the vehicle might be offered in three powertrain options. The base model is expected to use a 1.5L diesel unit with RWD. It will be mated with the manual gearbox and is likely to arrive at the starting price of Rs . 12 lakh (Ex-showroom).
The engine options include a 2.2L diesel and 2.0L Turbo Petrol. It is interesting to see if these new offerings will be able to set a benchmark in terms of performance or not.
