A PAEDO who targeted his step-daughter and two other children has been allowed to stay in Scotland – as deporting him would breach HIS human rights.
The man in his 50s, originally from central Africa, was convicted of the vile sex attacks in 2020.
He was ordered to be sent back to his homeland due to the severity of his offences.
However, he has now been given the right to stay and is now living freely in Glasgow, the Sunday Post reports.
The rule was made despite a judge acknowledging the beast “continues to pose a risk.”
Despite his attacks the judge ruled that deporting him would result in his family suffering.
Politicians have hit out the news with Scottish Conservative justice secretary Liam Kerr saying: “The public will be appalled that this dangerous criminal can remain in Scotland.
“Common sense should mean the public safety is always prioritised rather than offenders.”
The man identified only as “MD” in court papers arrived in the UK in 2008 and his initial asylum claim was rejected.
He then married a British woman and fathered a child with her in 2012.
In 2014 a judge ruled that he should remain in the UK as he had a settled family life.
But in December 2020 the man was convicted for a string of sexual assaults on three girls – one of his victims was just nine-year-old at the time.
He was jailed for three years for his crimes.
He then used publicly funded legal aid to fight his deportation claiming it would be “unduly harsh.”
It’s understood that The Home Office is now challenging the ruling and is worried that the decision did not consider the “best interests of victims.”
