With Mirzapur 3 premiere just around the corner, fans of the show are eagerly waiting to see what’s new in store for them with every character vying for the throne. Also, adding to the intrigue is the demise of one of the characters played by Vijay Varma – who plays twin brothers Bharat and Shatrughan Tyagi. In the last season, fans were also merely surprised to see the sexual tension between Chotu Tyagi and Gajagami aka Golu, played by Shweta Tripathi, and recently Vijay opened up about their sexual onscreen chemistry.
Vijay Varma reveals about having an intimacy coordinator for his intimate scenes with Shweta Tripathi in Mirzapur 3; says, “If you learn from the workshops, you can easily apply them on a set”
Vijay Varma addresses the intimate scene as an ‘interesting experiment’
In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, Vijay Varma discussed in detail about how the character of Shweta Tripathi, Golu played a key role in helping Chotu Tyagi understand his sexual desires and embrace it. “That moment had this boy who is very wide-eyed, innocent, and romantic in his heart and head and is head-over-heels in love with this girl. What happened then is that he probably learned something about himself. She was the teacher there,” he said addressing the way the female character takes charge.
He went on to talk about how she introduces him to erotic sex and continued, “It was interesting for this character to go through an interesting experiment like this with Golu. On the surface, she comes across as a very normal and cutesy girl. But people forget that in her first scene, she’s seen reading an erotica of a certain nature in a library. She’s bent differently and she introduces him to it.”
Vijay Varma shares that people often learn more about sex from their partners
“We learn so much from our partners. Early on, especially sexually, it’s not like you discover everything on your own. When you meet a certain kind of energy, you turn from a boy into a man,” he added. Further recalling the details of the scene, he opens up on how Chotu’s little experience transforms into post the scene, “When Golu gives him the belt and says maaro, he starts beating himself. When I came up with this idea, Guru (Gurmmeet Singh; director) started laughing. I told him that this guy doesn’t know what she means.”
Actor also opens up about hiring an intimacy coordinator for Season 3
Considering that season two couldn’t explore more of Chotu and Golu, we hear that the upcoming season will address the sexual tension between the two characters. In fact, the actor also revealed that this time around, they had to hire an intimacy coordinator for doing the scenes. Further elaborating on how their help is key to the scenes, Vijay shared, “If you learn the tools from intimacy coordination workshops, you can easily apply them on a set where there’s none. I found the information and the exercises to be so helpful.”
