Fact Check: Vijay Devarakonda clarified that he is not filing any police complaint against trollers who have been criticising The Family Star.
Actor Vijay Deverakonda denied rumours that he filed a police complaint against negative reviews of his latest film, The Family Star. Film reporter Haricharan Pudipeddi shared a screenshot of his chat with Vijay, where Vijay clarified that the picture accompanying the tweet was old and from the time of Covid. Earlier, there was another picture circulating claiming a member of Vijay’s team filed a complaint, which Vijay also denied.
When asked if there’s any truth to the same, Vijay replied, “Nope.” He then clarified that it’s an old picture, from “Covid times.”

The Family Star, directed by Parasuram Petla, stars Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur. It also features Abhinaya, Vasuki, Rohini Hattangadi, and Ravi Babu, with a special appearance by Rashmika Mandanna. Produced by Dil Raju, the movie released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi on April 5, earning Rs 16 crore at the domestic box office in the first five days.
