When asked about how marriage has influenced him, Vicky told The Week that he shares a core connection with Katrina Kaif. He expressed that their relationship is rooted in appreciating each other’s core selves and not in trying to change or improve one another.
“We are already in love with the person we are. What is new for us is how we are both growing together. Now that we are married, it is always about what is working for us, not me,” he stated.
Regarding culinary skills, Vicky admitted that cooking is not his forte. However, during quarantine, he learned to make tea and prepare simple meals like eggs due to the lack of other activities. He praised his brother Sunny Kaushal for being an excellent cook.

“He is just a year and four months younger, so it is more like we are friends. I do not give any advice, and he does not take any. We just share experiences. He is much wiser and calmer than me,” he added.
Vicky also shed light on the food preferences at home, revealing that Katrina leans more towards vegetarian options while he enjoys a variety of dishes, including chhole bhature. He then shared a humorous anecdote about his mother’s delight in having a daughter-in-law who appreciates traditional Indian dishes like tinde, beans, and turai, which Katrina enjoys as her staple food.
“In terms of food, she (Katrina) is way more vegetarian than I am. She enjoys simple food. Very rarely will she go for a chhole bhature, but I would dive into that. My mother is happy whenever Katrina is home because, as she says, ‘All my life I have been trying to get these boys to eat tinde (apple gourd), beans and turai (ridge gourd) and now I have a daughter-in-law who eats these every day.’ This is her staple food. She loves pancakes. We are just a regular couple with a profession that has put us in the public glare,” Vicky said.
On the work front, Vicky is working on his upcoming film Chhava, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna. He will also be seen working with Anand Tiwari. The yet-untitled film also stars Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. On the other hand, Katrina will be next seen in Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film Jee Le Zaraa along with Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra.
