Vancouver’s Oakridge Park unveils Canadian retailers ahead of Spring 2025 opening

The largest commercial redevelopment project in Canada currently underway, Vancouver’s Oakridge Park, is set to host a special summer series of social events as it aims to define itself as a cultural hub for the community.

Marking Canada Day, the series is set to kick off on July 3 and will run until September 2, with events that “celebrate the best in Canadian retail.” The series launch coincides with the announcement of several Canadian retailers who will open stores at the shopping destination in spring 2025, which includes names such as Lululemon, Harry Rosen, Aritzia, Arc’teryx, Canada Goose, GreenTee Golf Shop, BC Liquor, and Safeway.

The Oakridge Summer Social will become an annual community event series at Oakridge Park starting in 2025. This season, events will be held at the Oakridge Park x Pac Rim Patio at 1067 West Cordova Street, adjacent to the Oakridge Park Gallery in Downtown Vancouver. Celebrating Oakridge Park’s ethos of integrating nature with culture, the Patio will feature a garden setting with bespoke floral arrangements and greenery under the Oakridge Garden Club theme.

The summer series kicks off with the Wimbledon Happy Hour on July 4, 5, 11, and 12, 2024, which will feature tennis-inspired decor and a specialty menu, including Pimm’s Cup and Strawberries & Cream, at a themed pop-up bar where attendees can watch match recaps and replays. The Cinema in the Park invites film enthusiasts to enjoy Canadian films every Friday from July 12 to August 2 at 8:30 PM, with screenings held at the Patio, requiring reservations and benefiting the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. Finally, Family Summer Portraits offers a unique opportunity for families to capture end-of-summer memories in a beautifully recreated natural setting from August 16 to 18 and August 30 to September 2, 2024.

“The Oakridge Summer Social is designed for Vancouverites to kick off the season by celebrating the distinctive beauty of Vancouver, with a focus on wellness, nature, and cultural harmony,” said Chrystal Burns, executive vice president of Canadian Retail at QuadReal Property Group, in a statement. “The team at Oakridge Park is creating an unforgettable experience for the community by establishing itself as the city’s go-to place for unique events and activities. We look forward to welcoming everyone to celebrate the best of what Oakridge Park has to offer this summer and for years to come.”

Oakridge Park, set to open in Spring 2025, spans 28 acres and will feature retail, residential, and office spaces. It will house over 100 luxury brands across 650,000 square feet, including Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Rolex, among others. Additional amenities will include Vancouver’s largest West Side library, a nine-acre park with a one-kilometer running loop, a community center, senior and daycare facilities, and more.
