MOBILE network operator 02 has issued a warning to its customers over the recall of a phone accessory.
The product recall notice applies to their own-brand 45W or 20W charger plugs.
It comes after 02 carried out some extra safety testing having “received a very small number of reports on a few faulty 02-branded plugs“.
The plugs were sold by 02 between August 2021 and January 2023.
They not currently known to have caused any injuries or damage to property.
A statement from Virgin Media 02 said: “A full investigation was conducted by the third-party supplier, Exertis.
“While they’ve confirmed there were no significant failures in testing, and there’s a very low likelihood of public risk, they’ve recommended a voluntary product recall, which we’ve followed.”
O2’s product recall comes just days after the operator offered its customers a free data boost in time for Christmas.
The company also recently offered announced a tasty freebie for all its users.
For a limited time, people can grab a free mince pie from Greggs.
