The Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) has postponed the Round 1 choice filling process. Initially, the choice filling process was scheduled to begin on July 30. However, UPTAC will now start the process on August 5, 2024. The counseling body has not provided a specific reason for the postponement.
The official website reads, ‘Choice filling process to start from July 30, 2024 have been postponed to August 5, 2024 due to unavoidable circumstances.Updated schedule will be released soon.’
Previously, the choice filling process was set to conclude on August 3, and the seat allotment results were to be announced on August 5. With the postponement, UPTAC will release new dates for the process.

Eligible candidates will have to submit their choice of courses and colleges in order of preference once the choice filling process begins. They will also be given an opportunity to either freeze the allotment and join the allotted college or wait for an upgrade in subsequent rounds.
Through UPTAC counselling 2024, admission into BTech via JEE Main 2024, MBA, MCA, and MCA lateral via CUET PG will be offered.
