Out of the total candidates appearing for the exam, 7897 have successfully passed the examination, comprising 3193 from unreserved categories, 780 from economically weaker sections, 1615 from Scheduled Tribe, and 149 from other backward classes. Originally the commission had issued vacancies of 8085 posts, however, only 7897 candidates have been shortlisted for final appointment.

The final result
for UPSSSC Lekhpal has been compiled, considering the outcomes of the preliminary examination, mains, and interviews. Initially, a total of 27,433 candidates were shortlisted following the Lekhpal Mains 2022 exam conducted on July 31.
Following the announcement of the Lekhpal Mains 2022 result, interviews were conducted for the shortlisted candidates. The final list, comprising 7,897 candidates, has been released based on the interview performance. To facilitate the joining process, candidates are required to provide essential documents, including the Lekhpal merit list, birth certificate, address proofs, academic qualification certificates, and other relevant documents.
The official notice further reads, “In the final outcome for the appointment of Revenue Accountant, candidates falling under special reservation categories, such as dependents of freedom fighters, Ex-Servicemen, Disabled, and Women, have been placed in their original categories. Notably, the Commission has provisionally included 253 candidates in the selection result, with one candidate’s status marked as withheld. The final selection of these provisionally chosen candidates will depend on the decision of the Honorable Commission or the requisitioning department.
Furthermore, this final selection result will be considered in the ongoing legal cases, including writ petitions, special appeals, and special permission petitions, in the Hon’ble High Court and the Supreme Court, particularly those related to the advertised positions. Any future legal actions (if considered) in the Hon’ble Court will also be subject to the orders to be issued.”
