Updated Citroen Aircross SUV Launched in India With Additional Features, New Engine; Check Details Here

Mumbai, October 2: French automaker Citroen has officially launched the updated version of the C3 Aircross in India, which is more feature-loaded, safety-oriented, and even gets a new engine option. Citroen India has dropped the C3 from the name to distinguish it from the C3 hatchback. The SUV, which comes in six trim options, carries an introductory price of INR 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries are scheduled to begin on October 8.

The updated Citroen Aircross SUV now gets LED projector headlamps on the outside, offering better illumination for a better ride experience. Another addition to the feature list is the addition of an automatic air conditioning system with climate control. Other features offered on the SUV are power window switches on the doors, grab handles on the passenger side, power-folding ORVMs, and a rear AC vent. Nissan Magnite Facelift Interior Teased.

Under the hood, there’s a new 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that is tuned to produce 81 bhp of maximum power and 115Nm of peak torque. It’s worth noting that the SUV is now offered with two petrol engine options. Earlier, Citroen packed a 1.2-litre turbo petrol unit on the Aircross that was good for 109 bhp and 190 Nm. For transmission, the new engine comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox, unlike the turbo petrol engine, which came with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.
