Under the hood, it has been reported that nothing will be touched, which means it will feature the same engine option as 3-door version.
The launch of the upcoming Mahindra Thar 4-door is just around the corner, and rumors related to the off-roader now started surfacing on the internet. In a fresh report, it has been informed that the SUV might hit the market in 4×4 configuration only. However, the company has not revealed any specific details about the drive option as yet.
Will Be Same As Thar 3-door?
If some rumors are to be believed, the Thar 4-door might feature slight cosmetic changes from the outside. Apart from this, most of the design elements will be borrowed from the ongoing 3-door Thar, flaunting the same road appearance and bold stance. It will come with some style front fascia, heavy cladding on the sides, and will run on 18 inches alloy wheels.
Engine Options and Power
Under the hood, it has been reported that nothing will be touched, which means it will feature the same engine option as 3-door version. It will be powered by both diesel and petrol engine options. The former will churn out a maximum output of 130 bhp and 300 Nm, while the latter will be treated with 2.0-litre petrol unit that makes a decent power of 150 bhp and a peak torque between 300-320 Nm.
More Options in Diesel?
Some of the questions are still under wrap. It is unclear that whether the SUV will be offered in 1.5-litre diesel engine or not. If it comes, it will be a surprise element for the customers as the unit will produce a maximum output of 117 BHP and 300 Nm.
