PRAYAGRAJ: Authorities of UP Secondary Education Board (UP Board) has cancelled the recognition of Shri Atar Singh Inter College Rajauli, Agra from where the question papers were sent on WhatsApp group during the examination of intermediate Biology and Mathematics subject on Thursday on a WhatsApp group named ‘All Principles Agra’.
According to the Board Secretary, Dibyakant Shukla, the question paper was posted by one Vinay Chaudhary, a computer operator working at Shri Attar Singh Inter College, Rajauli, Agra, in the second shift examination of UP Board exam on Thursday.
“The exam commenced at 2pm while the post having the question paper was sent one hour and 11 minutes after the commencement of the exam. Since the exam had already started and all the candidates were giving their exam at their respective examination centres, the sanctity of the examination was not affected at any level”, said Shukla.
However, taking cognizance by the District School Inspector, Agra, an FIR was lodged against the main accused of this incident Vinay Chaudhary, School Center Administrator Rajendra Singh, Additional Center Administrator Gambhir Singh, Static Magistrate Gajendra Singh and unknown on Thursday night. Center administrator Rajendra Singh and one other person have been arrested and sent to jail and are being interrogated by the Static Magistrate. Police are taking action to arrest the main accused Vinay Choudhary and others, said the Secretary.
“The decision to cancel the recognition of Shri Atar Singh Inter College Rajauli, Agra from where the question papers were sent on WhatsApp group, was taken in the board meeting held on Friday. It is also made clear that in future, if any school tries to break the confidentiality of the question papers, the recognition of that school will also be immediately terminated”, said the Secretary.
All district school inspectors have been directed that no mobile phone will be used at the examination center by anyone other than the Static Magistrate. If a mobile phone or other communication device is used by any person at the examination center, then in such a situation it will be the responsibility of the Static Magistrate to ensure that an FIR is lodged against the concerned person, warns the Secretary.
