THE Met Office has warned of more thunderstorms – issuing a yellow alert as Brits brace for “life-threatening” floods.
A yellow thunderstorm warning will come into force for northern and eastern Scotland at 11am today.

Slow-moving heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause flooding and disruption across the warning zone until 10pm.
Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.
Power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.
Buildings could be flooded quickly, with damage from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
There is a small chance of fast-flowing or deep floodwater posing a “danger to life”, forecasters said.
Around 30-40mm of rain could fall in just a few hours along with lightning strikes.
Met Office expert Dan Harris said: “The focus for heavier showers is expected to transfer to Scotland and possibly northeast England,
“These could be slow moving, the heaviest of which could cause some temporary, localised issues such as flooded roads.”
He added: “We are keeping the weather warning situation under review.
“Please keep up to date with the latest warnings and forecasts from the Met Office if you have plans this Bank Holiday weekend.”

Showers tending to ease, however, cloud will continue to increase across the southwest of the UK, with patchy rain here.
Temperatures falling into single figures under the clearest skies.
Tuesday
A bright start in the north and east, though cloud and rain across the southwest will move northwards as the day progresses.
Sunnier skies following, with scattered showers.
Wednesday to Friday
Staying on the unsettled side, with sunny spells and scattered showers.
Some of the showers will be heavy, with hail and thunder.
Slowly becoming drier through Friday. Temperatures near average.
The forecast is brighter for other parts of the country – with the mercury hovering in the low 20s.
Dan said: “Bank Holiday Monday will see brighter, cooler and breezier conditions with scattered showers for England and Wales at first.
“But a steady drying trend from the west is likely. Northern Ireland could well start off fine but cool.
“It will remain settled whilst feeling pleasantly warm in longer sunny spells.”
