U.S. Anchorage records earliest total 100-inch snow this winter

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) — Nearly 102 inches of snow had fallen so far this winter in Anchorage, U.S. state of Alaska, by Monday morning, marking this season as the earliest on record to surpass the 100-inch milestone, according to a report by Anchorage Daily News.

This is the second season in a row that Anchorage has seen more than 100 inches of snow. In the 2022-23 season, the National Weather Service recorded nearly 108 inches.

This season began with record snow in November, and consistent snowfall has continued.
