Shoppers buying wine, prosecco and champagne at Asda and Morrisons have been hit with a two-week warning.
Both supermarkets currently have a 25% off deal on wine and fizz in the run up to Christmas, but the offer is coming to an end very soon.
Asda is offering 25% off when shoppers buy six or more selected bottles of wine, prosecco and champagne online or in store.
The deal allows you to mix and match from the bottles on offer and the discount will be applied at the checkout. If you’re buying online you should note that there’s a £3 charge applied to delivery orders under £40, and click and collect orders under £25.
The offer applies to a selected range of 75cl and 1.5L bottles which are priced from £5.50. In Wales, the wine must be priced at a minimum of £7 to qualify.
Shoppers should be aware that the deal is not available in Scotland or at petrol stations across the UK, and gift sets, fortified and meal deal wines are also excluded.
Martin Lewis’ MoneySavingExpert (MSE) has warned that the deal will be ending in just two weeks, giving shoppers until Sunday, December 15 to grab a bargain.
Morrisons is also offering 25% off to shoppers who buy six or more bottles of wine, prosecco and champagne in store or online, but this deal applies to loyalty customers only.
If you have a More card you can mix and match a selection of 300 bottles of wine in the offer, including Morrisons Best Mulled Wine for £5, Yellow Tail Chardonnay for £7.75 and Mateus Rose for £6.75.
The same deadline applies in Morrisons, so shoppers only have until December 15 to get the 25% discount.
You can buy a maximum of six bottles (one deal) per customer, but the deal isn’t available to those in Scotland.
If you don’t have a More card it’s free to sign up online, via the More Card app, or by picking up a physical card in store. You must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident to get a More card and this will give you access to lower prices on hundreds of Morrisons items.
You can earn points when you buy selected products in store and online, and you’ll get five points for every litre of fuel bought at Morrisons petrol stations. Once you’ve reached 5,000 points you can then convert them into a £5 voucher, or ‘Fiver’.
