Triptii Dimri picks Vicky Kaushal over ‘Animal’ co-star Ranbir Kapoor as her 3am friend: ‘I am much closer to him’

Triptii Dimri got a lot of critical acclaim for her performance in ‘Bulbbul’ and ‘Qala‘. Infact, many loved her in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Laila Majnu’ as well, but it waa Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal‘ which led to the rise in her fame and stardom, almost overnight. She was touted as the new national crush. Not to mention, her chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor became the talk of the town.Meanwhile, just after ‘Animal’, Triptii was seen sharing some sizzling chemistry, even with Vicky Kaushal in ‘Bad Newz‘ as the song from the movie ‘Jaanam’ was launched. In a recent interview, Triptii opened up on both her co-stars and revealed who she considers a friend.
During an interaction at a session for India Today Conclave, Triptii was asked to choose between Ranbir and Vicky as to who’s more likely to be her 3am friend. Reacting to it, she took Vicky’s name and added, “I am much closer to him. Because we spent a good amount of time together. We were shooting in Mussoorie and he is a very chill and cool guy.” She admitted that she shares a friendly bond with Vicky while stating that he calls the actress “his brother”.
‘Bad Newz’ directed by Anand Tiwari also starred Ammy Virk. The film did a decent business at the box office and recently released on OTT. During this interaction, Triptii also revealed why she chose to do a film like ‘Animal’. “For me, I don’t like staying in my comfort zone. With Bulbbul and Qala, I found that comfort, and while I love drama, being on those sets always energised me. However, when Animal came along, I found it truly challenging,” said the actress.
She will be seen next in ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ with Rajkummar Rao, followed by ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ alongside Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan.
