Transformed Raygun shows off dazzling new look in latest move

Australia’s controversial breakdancer Raygun has made a splash with her latest move, this time appearing on the cover of Stellar magazine.

Rachael Gunn (AKA Raygun) looked totally transformed for the cover shoot, with her hair pulled back in a long ponytail, vibrant red lipstick, and a dazzling blue dress.

She completed the makeover with earrings and elegant, strappy sandals.

The 37-year-old’s life has changed dramatically since her performance divided the world, with the academic spotted partying with popstar Boy George and rubbing shoulders with Sir Richard Branson on one of his Mediterranean cruises.

Although she has returned to work at Macquarie University’s Department of Media, Communications and Creative Arts, many expect her life will never be the same again … and there are predictions she will cash in big time from her new-found fame.

In her latest interview, Raygun also had a strong message for her haters.

“You did not bring me down,” she said.

“You did not succeed.

“I will stand by what I did.”

After the Olympics and the flood of controversy that followed, Raygun said she didn’t realise that her performance would “open the door to so much hate”.

She said it had been “pretty devastating”.

“While I went out there and I had fun, I did take it very seriously,” she said.

“I worked my butt off preparing for the Olympics and I gave my all, truly.”

But Raygun has also built up a lot supporters and a strong cult following.

In Melbourne, a life-sized sculpture of Raygun recently popped up in the inner-north suburb of Northcote.

And there have been other tributes made to her all around the world.

On the cruise with Branson, she led large group dancing sessions while the billionaire was seen photobombing her and her husband.

Branson dined with Raygun on multiple occasions — once with Channel 7’s Sonia Kruger sitting to his right.

He also bowed down to the breakdancer and kissed her hand.

“What a time what a vibe 🌊,” Raygun wrote on social media after the cruise.

Branson also posted a compilation video of Raygun’s time on the cruise and wrote: “‘Breaking’ news with Raygun! Hats off to Raygun for being so bold and making people smile,” he wrote.

“Invited her and husband Sam on board and we had a blast.

“Proud to have them as new friends, she can go home with her head held high.”
