Transfer news live updates: January window tracker as Chelsea recall Chalobah, Arsenal latest

And finally, will we learn more about potential suitors for Brighton’s Evan Ferguson today?

News from Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler yesterday should have caused a few recruitment departments to spring into action, as he did not rule out a loan to a Premier League rival.

That’s despite a bit of an injury hit strike force at the club in recent weeks, with Ferguson only just returning to training after a four game injury layoff too.

Here’s what Hurzeler had to say:

💬 “It’s very important Evan gets back on the pitch. At the moment he suffers because of the injury. Also, he proved why he is here playing for Brighton.

“He came from the youth academy and that’s the way of the club. We will negotiate what is important for him, what is important for his development, where he can improve the best and then we will make the decision together.

“This decision should be what is best for the player and for the club.”

More on this one as we get it throughout the day.
