Platforms: PC, Xbox Series X/S
Microsoft has been busy re-releasing its classic ‘Age of’ series of games, and now it has finally reached the Age of Mythology. As with the previous games, this time around, the game will be available to play on Xbox alongside PC. Players will be able to take control of unique civilizations with gods from the Greek, Norse, Egyptian, and Atlantean pantheons. Players will not only be able to train unique units but can also call on mythical creatures for help. Further, God Powers will now have a cooldown, which should let players cost them multiple times.
Astro Bot
Release Date: September 6
Platforms: PS5
Astro Bot has pretty much become the unofficial mascot for the PS5. While previous entries might have been little more than tech demos for the console, this particular title will be a complete experience with Astro Boy. Of course, the game will still tout the abilities of the PS5, so what’s wrong with that?
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
Release Date: September 9
Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S
The Warhammer 40,000 series has one of the deepest lores in all of media. So, I am not even going to try to explain the series. However, the game is a sequel to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, which was released in 2011. With the upcoming game, players can expect some intense third-person action with a mix of shooting and melee combat. Aside from a single-player mode, the game will also offer online multiplayer.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown
Release date: September 12
Platforms: PC, PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X/S
The Test Drive is extremely well known amongst gamers. In fact, Test Drive Unlimited was one of the earlier games that gave players a wide-open world to explore, complete with houses and player customisation items to purchase. And this is way back in 2006. The Test Drive Unlimted is the first game in the series since 2012 and has a lot of catching up to do. The game will feature a 1:1 recreation of Hong Kong and players will be able to drive iconic vehicles from manufacturers like Ferrari, Chevrolet, Ford, and many more.
The Plucky Squire
Release date: September 17
Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch
The Plucky Squire is a cute action-adventure title that is set around a children’s storybook. The gameplay will see players jump between 2D and 3D worlds as they try and save their world from an even wizard. It promises beautiful graphics, interesting NPCs and challenging puzzles for players to come across and solve!
Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Release date: September 26
Platforms: Switch
Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is one of those few Legend of Zelda games where you get to actually play as Zelda and not as Link. The game offers graphics that are very similar to the Link’s Awakening remake that was released a while back, so the game also looks quite good. Zelda will have the power to create a copy of many different items she comes across in her journey. These are called Echoes, and how the player chooses to use them is entirely up to them.
EA Sports FC 25
Release date: September 27
Platforms: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch
EA’s most popular football franchise is back for its latest instalment. This time around, players can expect a bunch of new gameplay changes. This includes FC IQ, which is a comprehensive overhaul of the game’s tactical system with smarter tactics and better AI. Further, players will now have distinct roles and putting them in those roles will ensure they are properly utilised.
Aside from this, players can also look forward to a number of remasters from classic games, such as Lollipop Chainsaw Repop, Dead Rising Remaster, and Epic Mickey Rebrushed. PC users can look forward to the release of Final Fantasy XVI and God of War Ragnarok on their platform.
