Vijay Varma won the title of Acting Excellence in a Negative Role at the TOIFA 2023 OTT Awards today (July 28) for his performance in the OTT series ‘Dahaad,’ starring Sonakshi Sinha and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles.
After receiving the award, Vijay Varma expressed his gratitude and called it a ‘Tofa’ (Gift). “The show is very special to me and my team.It was beautifully written and interestingly paced. It was something that I had not seen before in a character of a serial killer, a role I have never played before and I don’t think I will ever play again. It left me with this TOIFA award, which I would like to call the Tofa (gift) award,” Vijay mentioned.

The actor portrayed the role of a serial killer in the series, maintaining a genuine and gentle man profile in public. Sonakshi Sinha and Gulshan Devaiah played the roles of police officers in the series, which was released on Amazon Prime Video in May 2023 and received good responses from fans and critics alike.
