A TINDER swindler sex fiend targeted his first victim after seeing her name in a report on her brother’s death.
Christopher Harkins, 37, tracked down the woman on Facebook and sent her a ‘friend’ request to spark up a relationship.
But he did not reveal at the time how he’d sought her out.
Now the monster, far left, faces years behind bars after being found guilty of rape, sexual assaults and romance frauds totalling £214,000.
His victim, now in her 30s, told a jury he had seen her mentioned in a story after her sibling died suddenly.
But she recalled how her relationship with the serial thief spiralled into a campaign of violence between January 2013 and April 2014.
The woman told the High Court in Paisley: “He scanned an article about my brother and must have searched my name that way.
“He had a real problem with women.
“He taunted me, called me names like ‘tart’ and ‘slut’ and was very particular about what I was to wear and my make-up.
“He grabbed me, pushed my face against the wall, grabbed my hair and swung me around.”

We told, left, how Harkins, of Newlands, Glasgow, was nailed last week for assaulting the woman as well as stealing £4,000 from her.
She was one of ten females he conned into parting with cash after meeting them on dating apps.
The beast raped one as she slept at his flat, recorded intimate acts with another without consent and violently attacked two others.
The gambling addict used his victims to take out payday loans or pretended to need money for holidays or business ventures.
Cops described him as “violent and contemptible”.
Harkins was remanded in custody until he is sentenced in July.
