THREE of the killers of Ashley Dale have racked up taxpayer-funded legal bills of more than £260,000, figures show.
Ashley, 28, was shot dead in her home after her boyfriend fell out with rival gangsters.
Three of the gang who plotted the 2022 shooting benefitted from thousands in legal aid for their trial at Liverpool crown court.
Drug dealer Niall Barry, 26, jailed for at least 47 years, billed the Legal Aid Agency for £54,413.
Lawyers for Sean Zeisz, 28, handed 42 years, got £94,945.
Getaway driver Joseph Peers, 29, serving 41 years, got £112,821.
Ian Fitzgibbon, 28, who was cleared of masterminding the shooting, got £74,446 in legal aid.
Barristers for gunman James Witham, 41, who was jailed for 43 years, are yet to present bills.
The Legal Aid Agency said: “Further claims may continue to be made.”
