The town ranked ninth on the list, above Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and below Overland Park, Kansas, according to the rankings.

Fortune ranked 2,000 towns across the country based on various metrics, such as affordability, education, health care and resources for seniors.

Morristown “has healthy job opportunities and a strong economy. It hosts over 800 corporate headquarters in industries, like aerospace, financial services, insurance, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture, Fortune’s entry on Morristown stated.

“Sharecare ranks Morristown’s community well-being at 75 out of 100 and its financial well-being at 66 out of 100,” the entry continued. “The city is home to northwest New Jersey’s only regional trauma center and has its own Pride festival.
