The film had a modest budget of just Rs 32 crore but went on to earn Rs 440 crore globally, surpassing many big-budget films. In India, Andhadhun earned Rs 96 crore, and its international success continued, particularly in China, where it was released under the title Piano Player and grossed Rs 330 crore.
The film also won three National Film Awards: Best Hindi Feature Film for Sriram Raghavan, Best Actor for Ayushmann Khurrana, and Best Screenplay for Sriram Raghavan, Arijit Biswas, Pooja Lada Surti, Yogesh Chander, and Hemant Rao.
