Early Life & Childhood
Celina Jaitly was born in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, to an army officer, which meant that she spent much of her childhood moving between different cities across India. Due to her father’s military career, she studied in over 13 different schools. In one of her social media posts, she shared some beautiful memories of her school days in the late 90s. The actress mentioned that her school uniform was a salwar kameez, which was a common attire in many schools during that time. She also recalled how sometimes, students would study under trees or share tiffins.
Bollywood Debut & Rise To Fame
While she wanted to grow up and join the army just like her father, Celina Jaitly made her acting debut in 2003 with the film Janasheen, where she starred alongside actor Fardeen Khan. Although the film wasn’t a major success, it marked the beginning of her career in the industry. She soon found herself in high demand, starring in several hit films, including No Entry, Golmaal Returns, and Thank You.
In addition to her comedic and dramatic roles, she also made a name for herself for her bold characters and intimate scenes. In films like Jawani Diwani: A Youthful Joyride and Red: The Dark Side, she appeared in steamy sequences and daring outfits.
Her Relationship With Fardeen Khan
In addition to her acting career, her relationship with her Janasheen co-star, Fardeen Khan, also made headlines. The two were reportedly romantically involved for a while. Their relationship became a topic of interest in the media during the early 2000s. However, the two later broke up.
In 2010, she married Peter Haag, an Austrian entrepreneur and hotelier. The duo became parents to twin boys born in 2012 and gave birth to their second set of twin boys in 2017.
