General Hospital continues to generate buzz with its unpredictable writing. While fans have criticized the soap opera for becoming stale, it pulled a stunning twist on the Oct. 16 episode. The episode ended with the shocking revelation that Sasha Gilmore and Holly Sutton are mother and daughter.
When Sasha arrived in 2018, little was known about her backstory except that her mother had died. It was believed she might’ve been adopted and could be the biological daughter of Nina Reeves. Although DNA tests initially confirmed Nina was her mother, it was later revealed to be a scam by her and Valentin Cassadine.
Although it looked like Sasha had no ties to Port Charles, secretly, she was Holly’s daughter. Holly is one of General Hospital‘s most popular characters. She’s been on and off the show since 1982 and is most famous for her romances with Robert Scorpio and Luke Spencer. Her only known child was son Ethan Lovett, whom Luke fathered. But as it turns out, Sasha is also her child, which raises more questions.
General Hospital Fans React to the Sasha and Holly Revelation
During Holly’s returns, she has never interacted with or mentioned Sasha. There’s never been any indication that the two were related, so the shocking twist of Sasha and Holly being mother and daughter was a surprise.
