His most famous relationships are with Sharon Newman and Phyllis Summers. But he’s also had romances with Chelsea Lawson and Sally Spectra. If the writers ever decide to pair Nick with a new woman, Morrow has an interesting pick. And the leading lady isn’t from his show.
The Young and the Restless Actor Joshua Morrow Suggests a Nick Newman and Steffy Forrester Romance
The Young and the Restless has done many crossovers with its sister soap The Bold and the Beautiful. Sheila Carter, Lauren Fenmore, and Deacon Sharpe are a few characters, who’ve appeared on both shows.
Although Morrow hasn’t appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful, he’d love to work on there one day. In a recent interview with Soaps.com, the actor revealed what storyline he’d create for Nick’s crossover.
What I want to do is have a triangle that involves a cross-show couple. That would be pretty awesome if we connected the two shows with a pairing that was messy and in a triangle.
There are many The Bold and the Beautiful ladies that Nick can be paired with, but Morrow has one in mind.
Obviously, my choice for that would be Jacqueline MacInnes Wood. She’s a very beautiful woman and obviously very, very talented. What man wouldn’t want to work with her? So that’s the storyline that I want to tell.
While Nick Newman and Steffy Forrester would make an attractive pair, a romance between the two isn’t happening anytime soon.
Steffy’s marriage to John “Finn” Finnegan is rocky thanks to her evil mother-in-law Sheila Carter. Although Sheila claims she’s on the straight and narrow path, she’s going to continue causing trouble for the couple.
Hope Logan is also an issue for the couple. Hope’s been spending a lot of time with Finn and fantasizing about the handsome doctor. Although Hope still has feelings for Thomas Forrester, his upcoming wedding to Paris could have her turning to Finn for comfort.
Meanwhile on The Young and the Restless, Nick is single after his breakup with Sally. But the writers seem to be setting up his love triangle with his exes Sharon and Phyllis. Sharon and Phyllis are the two loves of his life, with whom he shares children. For years, he’s been waffling back and forth between the two, but finally might have to decide who’s his true love.
While a Nick and Steffy pairing isn’t in the cards, one day they could cross paths and spark a romance.
