As the new season approaches, there were rumours that comedian Chandan Prabhakar, famous for his role as Chandu Chaiwala on The Kapil Sharma Show, would be joining the show. Chandan has now set the record straight.
Recent entertainment news reports suggested that Chandan Prabhakar was in talks with the producers of Bigg Boss 18 and was considering participating in the show. Many fans were curious to see him in a different light, outside of his usual comedy roles. However, Chandan has now confirmed that he will not be a part of Bigg Boss 18. In an interview with Times Now, he revealed that although he was approached for the show, he turned down the offer right away.
The Kapil Sharma Show comedian explained that the format of the show, where contestants live together under constant surveillance, doesn’t appeal to him. “It’s just not my thing,” he said. He added that being confined to a house with cameras everywhere didn’t suit his personality, which is more laid-back and easygoing. “A casting agent for Bigg Boss 18 called me and asked me to come for audition but I said no there and then. I will not Bigg Boss at all ever.”
This news may come as a disappointment to fans who were eager to see Chandan in a new environment. Known for his comedy on Kapil Sharma’s shows, Chandan became a household name, especially for his role as Chandu Chaiwala. However, in 2022, Chandan took a break from The Kapil Sharma Show, and he didn’t appear in Kapil’s recent Netflix series, The Great Indian Kapil Show.
While Bigg Boss 18 will not feature Chandan, the show is still expected to bring plenty of excitement, drama, and entertainment. The new season is set to premiere soon, with rumours of other famous names potentially joining the house. The audience is eagerly awaiting the list of confirmed contestants and to see what new surprises Bigg Boss has in store for them this year.
