The Copenhagen International Fashion Fair and the Council of Fashion Designers of America will host the second edition of a New York Fashion Week showroom Feb. 10 to 12 at the Plus Plus Showroom at 161 Water Street. It will feature two American and 10 Danish designers redefining fashion through sustainability and prioritizing environmental responsibility, ethical sourcing and innovative design.
The participating U.S. brands are Agbobly and Private Policy. The Danish brands are Adnym, CDLP, Dawn x Dare, Herskind, Molebo, Monies, Neuw Denim, Resume, Samsoe Samsoe and Skandinavisk.
The curated selection of designers will show pieces that reflect contemporary style and champion eco-conscious production practices.
“The future of fashion is built through strong partnerships, knowledge sharing, close collaborations and an openness across borders, fashion categories, cultures and genders. That is why I am truly excited to cohost the Sustainable showroom once again in New York, together with our friends at the CFDA. It is a unique opportunity for the brands in the ever-changing market, where we as strong organizations take on the extra responsibilities to support the brands to help fuel their businesses,” said Sofie Dolva, director of Copenhagen International Fashion Fair.
Steven Kolb, chief executive officer of the CFDA, said, “We are delighted to build upon the success of our inaugural showroom with Copenhagen International Fashion Fair. Connecting American designers to international markets is essential to the growth and vitality of their businesses. The cultural exchange, skill sharing and combined resources from our organizations and the camaraderie between the participating designers will help strengthen this group of creatives.”
The CIFF x CFDA Plus Plus Showroom will be open to industry professionals, press, and buyers from around the globe, fostering opportunities to connect with the designers leading the sustainable fashion movement.
