Travelling is one of the most character-building and exciting things someone can do. What’s more, for those who have done it rarely or not very often it can also be one of the most testing as they step outside of their comfort zone.
Not only does someone experience new cultures, but they also have the opportunity to make new friends along the way. However, it can sometimes prove quite difficult for someone to work out which countries to visit and when.
To try and bring some order to this uncertainty, the World Economic Forum (WEF) has come up with a list of the 119 best countries for tourism in the world as part of their Travel & Tourism Development Index. The rankings have been decided through several factors including competitive pricing, sustainability, natural resources, and infrastructure.
However, rising above most of these countries is a list of the ten best countries in the world for tourism which includes countries from all over the world, from Europe to the Americas and Asia.
Germany is one of the most popular places for a weekend holiday in Europe with plenty of major cities to choose from including Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Dresden.
Furthermore, it is also home to a series of mountain ranges and rivers that make it one of the most beautiful to visit on the continent.
In the WEF’s index, it was the third best-performing country in the European Union.
