South’s Thalaiva Rajinikanth is preparing for his upcoming film. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie is initially named as Thalaivar 171. Recently, the director of the film shared an update where he posted Rajinikanth’s first look from the movie. In a brand new poster for the yet-to-be-titled Thalaivar 171, the actor can be seen looking extremely stylish as he flaunts his gold accessories.
Rajinikanth’s Film’s Titled to Be Announced Soon
Lokesh Kanagaraj took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared that the title of the film will be announced on April 22. Sharing Rajinikanth’s post, the director wrote, “Thalaivar 171 title reveal on April 22.” In the poster, the actor can be seen in a rugged yet stylish look. What caught netizens’ attention was Rajinikanth’s handcuffs made out of gold watches. He also wore sunglasses with golden rims on them. Mechanical parts, like the inside of a watch, make up the background of the poster.

Since the handcuffs are made of watches, fans speculated that Suriya’s character Rolex will make an appearance. Meanwhile, the filmmakers are yet to announce more details about the film. The first look reveals that it has something to do with time and gold. Currently, the production of the movie is in progress, and it will go on floors later this year.
More About Thalaivar 171
This film will mark Rajinikanth’s first film with Lokesh. The movie is being produced by Sun Pictures and was announced last September. While rumours suggest that Sivakarthikeyan will play a significant role, details about the remaining cast and crew are yet to be disclosed. It is anticipated that the complete team will be unveiled on the same day the title is announced. However, as per a new poster, the composer Anirudh Ravichander and stunt director duo Anbariv have been roped in already.
