A SCHOOLBOY has been charged after another teenager was rushed to hospital.
A 14-year-old lad needed treatment after he was allegedly attacked on Kirriemuir Avenue in Glasgow.
Emergency crews rushed to Lourdes Secondary School in the Cardonald area of the city around 1.55pm on Friday after the alarm was raised.
Cops attended after they received a report of an alleged assault.
Officers cordoned off a section of pavement outside the southside high school.
Today police confirmed that a 13-year-old boy has been charged.
He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report that a 14-year-old boy had been assaulted on Kirriemuir Avenue, Glasgow, around 1.55pm on Friday, 12 January, 2024.
“He was taken to hospital for treatment. A 13-year-old boy has been charged in connection with the incident.
