Tata Motors Launches LNG-Powered Trucks to Promote Green Mobility

Tata Motors has officially begun the delivery of Tata Prima 5530.S LNG trucks to Clean Green Fuel and Logistics Pvt. Ltd., a prominent player in the green fuel retailing and logistics sector.

New Delhi – Tata Motors has officially begun the delivery of Tata Prima 5530.S LNG trucks to Clean Green Fuel and Logistics Pvt. Ltd., a prominent player in the green fuel retailing and logistics sector. The company has received an order for 150 LNG trucks, with the first batch handed over during a ceremony in the city.

In addition to the initial order, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed for the supply of an additional 350 Prima 5530.S LNG trucks, further solidifying the partnership between the two companies.

Milan Donga, Director of Clean Green Fuel and Logistics Pvt. Ltd., expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “As a two-year-old start-up, we are committed to transforming the logistics industry with green fuel solutions. The integration of Tata Motors’ advanced LNG tractors into our fleet represents a significant advancement in our sustainability efforts.”

Tata Motors’ Vice President and Business Head of Trucks, Rajesh Kaul, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the alignment of their missions: “We are thrilled to deliver the first batch of Tata Prima 5530.S LNG trucks. Our trucks are designed for impressive performance, high efficiency, and low emissions, supporting Clean Green Fuel’s operational goals.”

The Tata Prima 5530.S LNG is powered by a Cummins 6.7L Gas engine, producing 280 hp and 1100 Nm of torque, making it suitable for long-haul transportation. The vehicle features a premium cabin for driver comfort, as well as a Gear Shift Advisor to enhance fuel efficiency. With both single and dual fuel cryogenic tank options available, the truck can cover a range of over 1,000 km, optimizing operational efficiency.

Tata Motors is leading the charge in developing alternative fuel technologies, including battery electric, CNG, LNG, hydrogen internal combustion, and hydrogen fuel cells.
