Shikhar Dhawan’s debut talk show, Dhawan Karenge, which has featured guests like Akshay Kumar and comedic gem Bhuvan Bam, has yet another interesting star guest in the form of the fun and energetic diva Taapsee Pannu who shared some interesting insights about her life and early days in Bollywood. During a candid conversation, she opened up about looking up to the mesmerizing actress Preity Zinta, who also shares great rapport with Shikhar.
Taapsee Pannu reveals the reason behind bagging a Bollywood film; says, “It was because I share a resemblance with Preity Zinta”
While speaking with Shikhar, “I was first brought into Bollywood because I share a resemblance with Preity Zinta. She has a very good energy and you know it well”. She further continued, “The aura of Preity ma’am is very lively and she seems very intelligent. I felt like I had to live up to her reputation as I was brought into the industry because of her name. So, I always put in an effort to be like her.”
Taapsee Pannu made her Bollywood debut in 2013
Taapsee made her acting debut in 2010 in a Telugu film titled Jhummandi Naadam, and continued to make strides in the South industry and later shifted to Bollywood with the 2013 comedy film Chashme Baddoor. She gained stardom in the industry with films like Pink, Naam Shabana, Judwaa 2, Manmarziyaan, among others and last featured in Dunki, alongside the superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The actress currently has Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba (a sequel to Haseen Dillruba), Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan, and the multi-starrer Khel Khel Mein in the pipeline.
