Before the anniversary of Sushant Singh Rajput’s passing, his sister Shweta called upon the late actor’s fans to gather in Mumbai and seek justice for him.
Shockwaves reverberated throughout the entire Bollywood industry when news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s passing surfaced online on June 14, 2020. It has now been four years since Sushant’s demise, and his sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, often commemorates her late brother through her social media posts. On Saturday (June 8, 2024), Shweta took to her Instagram and announced that a prayer meet would be held on June 14 in remembrance of the late actor.
Sharing a graphic creative, Shweta also urged Sushant’s fans to come together on June 14 at a studio in Mumbai and demand justice for him. Additionally, the post mentioned that following the prayer meet, food distribution would also take place. Fans will also gather at Mont Blanc Apartments in Bandra, where Sushant lived and where he was found dead, to demand justice. Sharing the post, Shweta wrote, ‘It’s time, let us all come together and pray and demand justice for our dear Sushant. Take A Look:
Earlier last week, Shweta took to her Instagram and wrote, ‘It is the 1st of June, and four years ago on the 14th of this month, we lost our dearest Sushant. Even now, we are still searching for answers about what happened on that tragic day. I came to Kedarnath to pray, to remember, and to feel close to Bhai. The day was incredibly emotional; as soon as I landed in Kedarnath, tears began to flow. I walked for a while but eventually had to sit down and cry my heart out, feeling his presence all around me. I felt an overwhelming urge to hug him. I sat and meditated where he had meditated, and in those moments, I felt he was still with me, within me, living through me. It felt as if he had never left.’
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment in June 2020. While some speculated it to be a suicide, others raised suspicions of foul play. His sister has been advocating for justice ever since. In April, Shweta Singh Kirti initiated an online campaign titled ‘Nany 4 SSR Jan Andolan’ to pursue justice for her brother’s demise. As a component of this effort, she encouraged individuals to adorn a red cloth on their wrist or forehead, share a video on social media, and implore authorities to ensure justice for the departed actor.
