Kanguva is the most talked about movie right now. Everyone was eagerly waiting for the movie to release and were sure that it will be a massive box office hit. It released on November 14 and it got mixed response from the audience. Some loved it and called it a beautiful cinematic experience. But some did not like the story and have criticised the makers for making a dull story. People were waiting for the movie and had high hopes from it. But it is not working like that and the box office numbers are really dull.
Kanguva is a flop?
The movie stars Suriya, Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Yogi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, KS Ravikumar, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, and Mansoor Ali Khan. On the first day, the movie earned Rs 58.62 crore gross globally. In India, it earned Rs 28.50 crore on the first day.
It was a slow start and many thought the film would pick up in the coming days. But, the earnings are just going down and down. It has been 4 days but the movie is still struggling to reach Rs 50 crores in India. The movie did a double digit business on the first day but later on, it came down on single digit.
On the second day, the film earned Rs 9.5 crore and on the third day, the movie collected Rs 9.85 crore. There is a slight jump on the fourth day and the movie reportedly has collected Rs 10.50 crores. This means, the film has earned Rs 53.85 crores in the opening weekend across the country.
This is a low number as Kanguva is made on a very high budget. The film has been made at a cost of Rs 350 crores and is shot in 7 countries. The makers even took the help of Hollywood stuntmen for action sequences. It will be difficult for the film to even get back the money spend in making it.
